Job Description
Candidate is personable, professional and speaks well and is proficient bi-lingually with the English and Spanish language. Possess good communication skills.
The candidate must be able to review and understand certain documents pertaining to income verification, they must also be proficient with computer skills, typing, filing, scheduling appointments (for pre inspection of the multi unit building or private home as well as scheduling appointments for actual weatherization work to begin) and providing clients with company history and information, via verbally, directing a client to our website and also mailing correspondence. The candidate will have personal contact with Conservation Service staff, general office staff, and staff of the NYS Department of Housing and Community Renewal and will report directly to the Program Director as well as the Executive Director for the Companies Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Mails application package to clients (multi unit buildings and residential homes)
- Mails eligibility and non-eligibility notices to clients.
- Maintains client contact with regard to document requests
- Schedules appointments with clients and conservation team.
- Prepares daily work schedule for the conservation team.
- Requests public assistance awards from HRA (Human Resource Administration) depending on the buildings address.
- Requests social security awards from SSA (Social Security Administration) from the name and SS# from clients and tenants.
- Assists with documenting multi family buildings.
- Tracks all work done by crew on a monthly.
- Schedules pre and post building and residential home inspections.
- Visits and assists clients that are unable to travel or that are unable to complete our application. Examples would be those who are physically disabled, senior citizens and those speaking the Spanish language.
- Collect documentation at clients home when necessary.
- Assist clients in understanding the work scope for their homes.
EDUCATION (EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE):
Associates degree in business administration and one year weatherization experience with working in a public environment.
DRIVERS LICENSE PREFERRED:
Some traveling is required and necessary.
