Supervision towards LPC is covered through Tree of Life Family Services, as long as a minimum 15 hours per week are worked.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on client needs
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to support clients in achieving their goals
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in counseling and therapy
- Participate in case management meetings and provide input on client progress
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Counselor or similar role
- Proficiency in conducting group therapy sessions
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques and interventions
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health and counseling
- Strong case management skills, including assessment, treatment planning, and referral coordination
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Ability to conduct research and stay informed about current trends in counseling practices
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
