Job Description
Outpatient Care Services Nurses are responsible for performing at a competent level nursing practice and according to the standards of practice for the area. Performs patient care and service through a multidisciplinary team approach. Functions to maintain an environment of caring and concern for patients and staff members according to principles of patient focused care and customer service.
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm
Responsibilities
Assists with ensuring the JCAHO standards, Illinois Dept. of Public Health, and other applicable accredited body standards are met. , Communicates with nursing staff, medical staff, administration, and ancillary departments to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care services. , Contributes to the maintenance of a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees by identifying, correcting and/or reporting health and safety hazards., Coordinates all outpatient nursing procedures according to Nurse Practice Act. , Coordinates pre-operative patient education and pre-operative process, including, but not limited to ensuring pre-operative lab work and testing is completed; history and physical completed; medication list current. , Demonstrates professional leadership in practice.
Requirements:
