Position Summary

• To provide quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process and established guidelines of nursing practice.

Primary Position Responsibilities

1. Initial Intake
2. Patient Room Preparation, Before and After Care
3. Patient Order
4. Point of Care
5. Patient Safety
6. Attend Staff Meetings

Work Contact Group (Internal/External)

• Physicians and residents at various levels of training, patients, patient’s families, outpatient office staff personnel, some HMC dept. personnel, representatives from laboratory pharmaceutical companies.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to (position):
  • Nurse Manager and or Nurse supervisor
  • Practice Manager, Office Manager, Practice Director
• Supervises (position(s):
  • Supervises-clinical staff in absence of Nurse supervisor/manager

Qualifications

• Minimum Education:
  • Required:
    • Nursing diploma
  • Preferred:
    • Associate’s Degree in Nursing

    • Graduate from an accredited nursing school; current New Jersey RN liscence, CPR certified ,or obtain certification within 6 months
