Operations Team Member V HVAC Maintenance

The position requires expert work skills and familiarity with the Facility HVAC maintenance program and chiller configurations. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems.  The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines and standard work or making changes based on root cause corrective actions. This position will be responsible for HVAC, refrigeration and chillers as needed, to meet daily production requirements.  

Responsibilities / accountabilities include, but not limited to the following:
Main focus of the position is as the subject matter expert responsible for: 
-Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving HVAC and refrigeration issues
-Diagnostic Testing
-Teaching other team members
-Identifying RCCA’s  

Basic Qualifications

•Candidate must be a full time Caterpillar Employee.

•5 or more years of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, Comfort View EMS and chiller experience.  

•The candidate must be proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and have solid understanding of schematics.
•Demonstrate proficiency using computer programs related to HVAC and manage parts inventory.
•Must be able to teach/test all HVAC configurations.
•Must be able to teach/perform complex mechanical repairs which include, but are not limited to replacing compressors, coils, circuit boards and must be able to perform electrical testing.  
•Must have good communication skills to interface with various levels of staff and management.
•Must be willing to work an off-shift and overtime. 

Top Candidates May Have
•1 year vocational program after high school or an equivalent on-the-job training program.
