The OS&D Operations Specialist is responsible for completing administrative tasks regarding Over, Short, and Damaged freight both internally and externally. The OS&D Operations Specialist will complete all aspects regarding Over, Short, and Damage processes by following internal procedures and customer specific standard operating procedures. This role will work with FST customers to assess responsibility, determine the root cause of overages/shortages/damages, and determine resolutions. The OS&D Operations Specialist will work closely with the OS&D Claims Manager to meet OS&D, Returns, and Claims productivity expectations. This role will process claims by entering and scanning them into Truck Mate (TMW), pull all background paperwork, and enter notes that could assist in the processing of claims. In partnership with the OS&D Claims Manager, the OS&D Operations Specialist will manage misrouted and lost freight, handle all incoming emails for pick-ups that are considered returns, handle Master Bill issues that require drops, scan Proof of Deliveries and invoices to TMW, and handle all inbound drops and returns for Pool Customers by following their SOP's.
To ensure success in this role, you will manage daily OS&D exception calls or emails both internally and externally, work with external customers and internal personnel to resolve OS&D issues and maintain accurate records for reporting OS&D freight daily via Truck Mate Workforce system. You will handle customer-specific OS&D issues by following SOP's and flow charts, work closely with the Cross Dock regarding inbound OS&D, return freight, and prepare paperwork to process OS&D freight and returns. You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business process and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST. This role will keep the Daily Dock Addendum up to date with freight activity being worked on by OS&D stored on the dock, compete a thorough dock sweep (daily) of the OS&D bay, and communicate unidentified freight in efforts to find the correct location.
