Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Lubbock Sports Medicine. The successful candidate will primarily work with patients preparing for hip or knee replacements. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians, coordinating patient care, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
Duties
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and medical administrative support
- Perform tasks such as taking vital signs, documenting patient information, and preparing examination rooms, removal of staples/sutures
- Assist with patient education and provide support during medical procedures
- Perform basic coding and billing tasks
Experience
- Previous experience working in an orthopedic setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficient in performing vital signs measurements and documentation
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide quality patient care
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical facility. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
