Salary```Duties``` - Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures and treatments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Perform vital signs and patient assessments as directed by the orthodontist - Assist with medical coding and documentation as needed - Provide support to the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection ```Qualifications``` - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - X-Ray certification required - Knowledge of dental systems and procedures - Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations - Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessments - Understanding of medical coding principles and practices - Proficient in medical documentation and recordkeeping - Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
