Orthodontic Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the orthodontist in various procedures. Responsibilities:

-Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures

- Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment areas

-Manage patient scheduling and maintain patient records using Dolphin Management software

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care

- Perform dental imaging procedures

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation

- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations

- Collaborate with the orthodontist and other team members to consistently deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or relevant experience

- Current certification as an Orthodontic Assistant preferred

- Proficiency in medical terminology related to orthodontics

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of infection control protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
