Position: Organizational Staff Development Specialist
Department: Training
Reports To: Vice President of Corporate Training
FLSA: Exempt
SUMMARY:
Builds human capital through employee development programs. Implements all aspects of organizational management development. Measures employee performance to gauge program success and identify improvement areas. Duties include all aspects of leadership learning, development, and onboarding new team members. Provides support for various Training and HR programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Leads and executes a wide range of leadership development solutions and learning programs that position our culture as an enabler of performance.
  • Partners with internal subject matter experts, vendors, and local colleges to design comprehensive learning programs that support leadership and talent management strategies for the credit union.
  • Build a partnership with all Keesler Federal departments and branches.
  • Creates and delivers classroom and virtual content with a primary focus on leadership development.
  • Conducts needs assessments with the Leadership team for future curriculum.
  • Serves as a Training resource to help develop managers at all levels
  • Takes action to stay abreast of current and evolving learning trends, instructional methods/techniques, and emerging technologies.
  • Conducts and schedules refresher leadership training as needed. Updates curriculum and explores new materials as required.
  • Track and maintain all Leadership training documentation throughout the entire program
  • Maintain expenses according to the allocated budget
  • Applies knowledge of adult learning principles to teach various types of learning content.
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders to understand desired performance, assess learning needs, and tailor appropriate training solutions.
  • Provides introductory and leadership training to DiSC.
  • Conducts post-training evaluations and analyzes results.
  • Assist with preparing invoices for workforce training credit and financial reimbursement.
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of all HR policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as backup for all Keesler Federal Training Program
  • Assists with organizational events that impact our team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned to assist the Training Resources Team to serve our team members better.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience and Other Requirements:
  • Three or more years of Training / Organizational Development / or similar related experience.
  • Prior management experience required.
  • Possess strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Advanced facilitation skills.
  • Comfortable and confident facilitating small and large groups that range from team members to executive levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; inclusive and compassionate

Computer Skills:
  • Ability to operate a PC with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
  • Familiar with Core financial systems - Symitar & Synapsys preferred
  • Must be proficient in using outlook and the internet.
  • Knowledgeable with Adobe, Camtasia, and Knomia is preferred
  • Experience with Solstice and MTR computer software is preferred
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking essentials
