JOB SUMMARY
The Organizational Development and Training Consultant provides timely delivery of aligned and consistent services that support the accomplishment of organizational and unit/department objectives. Maintains a collaborative, cooperative and accessible relationship with staff. Designs, coordinates, and facilitates the implementation of processes, methods, tools and techniques to achieve employee development objectives for the organization. This includes the design and development of core curriculum courses for patient care providers, front-line staff, students, and support administration staff. Evaluates effectiveness of programs, revising and improving where necessary. Conducts routine needs analyses to improve organizational effectiveness and determine areas of focus with regard to employee development and engagement. Develops and coordinates the introduction, expansion and ongoing implementation of new employee orientation, student affiliations, and professional development training for employees throughout the organization, covering topics such as communication, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution. Mentors team members in the areas of employee development. Stays current on the latest Organizational Development practices, theories, and tools, integrating relevant and innovative knowledge to initiate/expand upon program offerings. Conducts day-to-day administrative duties associated with being a team member of a professional staff. Assists Manager, Organizational Development in designing initiatives targeted at improving interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills among employees.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline including Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Business, Organization Effectiveness, Communications, or related field required, Masters preferred.
- Experience: At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience facilitating learning based on adult learning theory principles and designing programs for both open-enrollment and intact team sessions.
- Advanced computer technology skills particularly with regard to Microsoft Office desktop tools and electronic communications such as email, calendars, etc.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) and vendor certifications preferred, including but not limited to, DDI, DiSC, FranklinCovey, and VitalSmarts
