Job description

Organizational Development Specialist - Roskam Foods
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Talent Enablement, the Organizational Development Specialist will design programs related to employee retention, leadership development, supervisor training, performance management, etc.
Essential Functions:
  • Assists in the management of HR Data Analytics for the organization. Helps to determine correlation between initiatives and success of them.
  • Works with People Systems + Services to design HR reason codes to appropriately capture data within the HRIS.
  • Works with functional support groups to design e-learning to be managed through the LMS.
  • Becomes the expert of the LMS and uses its’ capability to deliver e-learning.
  • Creates and facilitates training such as performance management, leadership training and compliance training. Implements alongside the People Operations team.
  • Continuously works to identify areas of training need and creates programs to align with the need.
  • Supports business leaders in the areas of building career progressions.
  • Management of HR analytics
  • Discovers continuous improvement opportunities and takes the initiative to drive incremental change in processes and systems.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field (or equivalent related experience).
  • A minimum 3 years of Human Resources and/or Organizational Development experience.
  • HR experience in a union environment strongly preferred. Previous manufacturing HR experience preferred.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience conducting first-line and management training.
  • Experience managing analytics and reporting on metrics.
  • Excellent presentation creation and implementation skills through PowerPoint and other similar software programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning techniques.
  • Experience working with an LMS, specifically serving as the administrator of a LMS preferred.
  • Experience building and creating training materials is a must.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and be perceived as an approachable and knowledgeable resource.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
