PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, develops, codes, tests, and debugs complex new software products, or makes significant enhancements to existing.
- Researches and integrates design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities.
- Resolves complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
- Lead and participate in highly complex projects with customers, managers, end-users and GDIT team.
EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency in, but not limited to the following:
- In-depth Technical knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports, libraries, objects, menus
- Technical expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL Queries.
- Technical expertise writing and tuning PL/SQL.
- Expert knowledge of the Unix operating system and shell scripting
- Technical knowledge of WebSphere
- Technical knowledge of network firewalls, and understanding of how they are implemented to provide secure enclaves to protect server and database resources.
- Technical knowledge of security certificates and how they are used to protect transmission of data between various computer devices.
- Experience upgrading both Oracle Database and OFM software, and knowledge of tuning them.
- Expert knowledge of Oracle database objects, triggers, packages, functions, procedures, tables etc.
- Knowledge of software tools to manage application development and testing – Toad, SQL Developer, Oracle Forms and Reports Builder
- Expert ability to perform analysis of customer requirements and design technical solutions
- Ability to perform project management functions.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne.
- Knowledge of and experience in an IT Service management System (preferably ServiceNow) and ITIL processes
- Ability to lead / mentor junior developers on development projects.
EDUCATION:
A minimum of ten (10) years experience.
A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred.
