Scrub Tech/OR Tech/ORT/Surgical Technologist
Mid-Late Shift
Secure and prepare all supplies required for surgical intervention
Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in OR
Perform instrument counts prior to each procedure
Prepare patient skin for surgical treatment
Position and re-position patient during surgery
Assist the care team as necessary during surgery
Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase
Perform scrub functions
Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedure
Follow all federal, state, regulatory, and departmental safety procedures
High school diploma/GED required
Surgical technician certification or training from an accredited school or training program preferred
3+ years’ experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
CPR certification
SPD experience
Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique
Heavy Ortho and spine cases experience preferred
Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call and called back in for patient care
