**Optometrist** **Duties:** - Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases - Prescribe and fit corrective lenses or contact lenses based on individual patient needs - Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage patients' overall health and well-being - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments - Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have **Skills:** - Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to manage patient information - Knowledge of senior care practices and the unique eye health needs of elderly patients - Familiarity with aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during eye examinations and procedures - Strong understanding of ocular anatomy, physiology, and the visual system - Ability to measure and interpret vital signs relevant to eye health, such as intraocular pressure - Experience in succession planning to ensure continuity of care for patients in the event of provider transitions - Excellent knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and optometry - Exceptional patient care skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective communication - Adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality This is an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist to join our team. Pay: $653.57 - $750.00 per day
