Optometrist

### Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed.
- Provide specialized care for patients with specific eye conditions, such as glaucoma or macular degeneration.
- Perform and interpret various diagnostic tests, such as visual field tests and retinal imaging.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
- Stay informed about advancements in optometry and attend continuing education courses as required.

### Skills:

- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as Epic, to document patient encounters and manage medical records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate and effective patient care.
- Knowledge of optical principles and ability to assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear or contact lenses.
- Strong sales skills to promote products and services offered by the optometry practice.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the eyes and vision.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $600.00 per day
