Optician (Willing To Train)

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve optimal vision and eye health. Having expertise in optical and/or retail will help in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate eyewear prescriptions. ```Duties```
- Assist patients in selecting the most suitable eyewear based on their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
- Take accurate measurements of patients' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses
- Adjust frames and lenses to ensure comfort and optimal vision for patients
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyewear, including verifying insurance coverage and submitting claims for reimbursement
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information as needed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optical technology and products

-Some Front desk duties like prep'ing Charts for the next day, Schedule management and patient communication.

```Skills```
- Knowledge of optical, anatomy, and physiology related to the eyes
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
- Proficiency in using computer systems for medical billing, record keeping, and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and vendors
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements for eyewear fitting
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues related to eyewear selection or fitting
- Experience in retail is a plus
- Knowledge of optometry is an asset

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
