This is a grant funded position.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develops and delivers interactive trainings and programs to staff and volunteers
  • Manages the annual training calendar, providing links to trainings, creating surveys and certificates for staff
  • Designs surveys for staff feedback
  • Attends workforce development meetings
  • Provides recommendations to management to reduce gaps in workforce capabilities
  • Communicates complex topics or issues both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences
  • Interacts effectively with others across a broad spectrum of managerial, administrative and professional staff
  • Conducts focus groups to capture future training needs
  • Assists with reporting requirements of the workforce development team
  • May be required to perform other duties related to workforce development
  • Employee is expected to submit timely and accurate timesheets and EAR/DAR documentation, per the established standards.
  • Employee will respond to the SERVFL alert network notifications and emergency call tree alerts within the required timeframe of 1 hour. Employees will report as assigned for response duties during an event, unless an exemption has been approved.
  • Employee will complete mandatory DOH training in TRAIN as required by policy or delegated authority, required program and job specific training, and will maintain licensure and certifications required for the employee's position.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skill in presenting information orally
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Windows based computer software programs, internet and email
  • Ability to apply high-level customer service to internal or external customers
  • Ability to accurately complete standard mathematical calculations
  • Ability to communicate verbally in a comprehensible, focused and appropriate manner
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work and control use of time
  • Ability to collect, record and analyze data
  • Ability to recognize and handle confidential documents
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions

 

Qualifications:

Minimum - 

Experience presenting training to a group
Experienced in Microsoft Office programs, internet and email
Experience providing customer service

Experience in preparing training material
 

Preferred - 

Experience in gap analysis
Experience conducting focus groups
