- Ability to operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment including Pentacam, Corneal Topographer, OCT, Lenstar Biometry, Optos Fundus Photography, Visual Fields etc.
- Ability to perform Manual Refraction, autorefraction, and lensometry
- Ability or interest in learning to operate and maintain Excimer Laser, Femtosecond Laser, and Microkeratome
- Applies drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes
- Prepares patients for treatment and assists ophthalmologists in LASIK surgery
- Counsels patients by providing information regarding treatment, use of drops and drugs

- Is an ambassador for laser vision correction and cataract surgery
- Uses empathy and understanding to ensure the comfort of all patients
- Perform routine instrument maintenance
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records System (NexTech)
- Assist Doctors with inputting information into EMR system accurately
- Ensures confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records
- Maintain inventories and order supplies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, optometric technician, optometric assistant or ophthalmic assistant
- Ability to operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
