Duties
- Assist ophthalmologists in providing patient care
-Follow-up on patient prescriptions, prior authorizations, return patient phone calls
- Perform preliminary eye testing, photographs
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist during examinations if needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Clean and sterilize ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow; rooming patients; working front desk on Friday mornings
```Qualifications:```
- Previous experience as an ophthalmic assistant or in a related healthcare field is preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, instruments, and equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proficient in order entry, proofreading, and project coordination
- Ability to manage calendars and assist with event planning
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with patients in a professional manner

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
