GENERAL Responsibilities
1. Drawssamples of products for shift analysis
2. Readtemperature and pressure indications and flow meters, records readings, andcompiles operating records. Monitors condition of unit and troubleshootswhen parameters are found to be out of normal operating range.
3. Maintainslog of gauge readings and shift production using either paper or electroniclogs (iProcess)
4. Inspectsfire extinguishers, respiratory protections equipment, and safety showers.
5. Performschemical tests on product sample to ensure conformance with specifications,using standard test equipment, materials, and procedure.
6. Inspectsequipment in unit to determine location and nature of malfunction, such asleaks, breakage, and faulty valves. Complete electronic work orders (SAP)for maintenance repairs.
7. Preparesequipment for maintenance by following Lock out Tag out procedures
8. Follow allLife Critical procedures and ensure paperwork is completed correctly.
9. Turnsvalves or moves controls to maintain system at specified parameters.
10. Connects with loading rackto line up for storage.
11. Starts an acid and waterpump as needed
12. Reports concerns or anyissues to supervisor in a timely manner
13. Ensure rounds are completedas required and documented in logs
14. Ensure SOPs / COPs / EOPsand good operating practices accurate and followed.
15. Reviews all management ofchanges, accident/incident reports, shift log and operating instructions (bothunit and Treatment Services) prior to the start of shift
16. Ensure appropriatetroubleshooting or effort is made and results/status is communicated to fellowemployees and supervisors.
17. Follow interlock/alarmbypass procedure and ensure interlock bypasses are removed when no longerneeded.
18. Complete the necessarytraining and qualifications in the unit on timetable specified by supervisor.
19. Be accountable for thehealth and safety of not only yourself, but the unit operators and all fellowplant personnel.
20. Patrols unit to verify safeand efficient operating conditions
21. Performs turnaround dutiesas requested by Area Supervisor.
22. Communicate with otherUnits, Aroma Performance personnel, and Supervision regarding steam, water, ornatural gas production and shutdowns.
23. Utilizes PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) in specific plant location or per job taskspecification.
24. Performs autonomousmaintenance jobs per the Labor Contract.
25. Responsible for pulling,blowing, installing sonicore guns to the furnace. (this includes locking outfor repairs).
26. (Once Qualified as a 1stclass ) Covers vacations, STD's, and absences for other 1st class operators asrequired by Supervision.
27. Attend quarterly and allother mandatory safety meetings.
28. Follow the Incidentreporting process.
29. Work with contractors andengineers in the unit; be involved in the projects, HAZOPS, Audits, (etc.) asneeded.
30. Housekeeping - Ensure theunit is clean and well maintained to ensure a safe and efficient work area
31. Complete CBTs on time.
32. Work with Manager and UnitEngineers to improve unit operations (efficiency, safety, costs, throughput).
33. Works with all employeesand contractors professionally and respectfully at all times.
34. Perform any otherduties/projects as assigned by supervision.
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL Responsibilities
1. Follow allcompany rules, policies and procedures.
2. Inspectsand monitors environmental, gas leaks and housekeeping within the unit.
3. Attendsrequired safety meetings to address safety and environmental concerns andincidents as well as current safety performance in unit. Participate bybringing forth current safety issues.
4. Invokes"Stop Work" policy any time operational conditions become unsafe/uncertain
5. Completescomputer-based training to comply with HSE requirements and policies.
6. Participates on Safety, Rescue, and other committees/teams as required.
7. Notifiessupervisor of all unsafe conditions/actions or procedure discrepancies.
8. Reviewsall management of changes, accident/incident reports, shift log and operatinginstructions prior to the start of shift.
9. Completeswork permits as required.
10. Performs equipmentinspection for leaks, breakage, and malfunction within the unit.

Minimum Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 plus years ofoperational/process technology experience in a chemical plant
OR
(2-year Process Technology associates degree
AND
(3) Ability to obtain Transportation Worker's Identification Credentials (TWIC)
