Plant Operator II:
Description: The Plant Operator will provide a wide range of duties ensuring plant throughputs, run times and quality specifications are maintained while ensuring a safe and reliable operations of the plant. The candidate will provide the necessary skills too effectively and efficiently adapt to system changes and plant upsets. The Candidate will show initiative and pride in their job and workplace. The plant operator must also manage overall knowledge of plant operation on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read P&ID’s to provide a safe work environment for maintenance and prepare Lockout-Tagout.
- Demonstrate proficiency in field knowledge and operation in all areas of the plant (All Amine/Glycol Treating, AGI, and Stabilization System)
- Demonstrate proficiency as a Board Operator
- Employee plans and coordinates daily operational activities with internal and external groups.
- Shows extensive knowledge and competency in facility field operations.
- Demonstrate an outstanding record of safety meeting attendance as well as demonstration of safe work practices (i.e. Safe driving record, compliance with all safety policies/procedures, etc.)
- Maintains and leads with a professional attitude.
- Assist in managing pigging operation of the pipeline facilities
Job Requirements:
- 5-9 years of Gas Processing or have been promoted from a Level I position based on outstanding historical job performance and knowledge.
- Understanding of process gas flow, liquids flow, pressures, and temperatures, etc.
- Ability to overcome plant upsets and maintain a quality product.
- Recognize operational issues to minimize down time.
- Comprehension of Cause and Effect when determining corrective action to plant performance.
Proficient/understands all plant procedures.
- Manage daily log of daily plant activities and workings of the plant
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years work experience preferred.
- Must pass comprehensive background and drug test and respiratory fit test (Physician approved)
Skills:
- Ability to perform test to facilitate the process of elimination when performance is not up to par and or when critical equipment has failed.
- Capacity to learn quickly, adapt & manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Evaluate a situation and determine proper corrective action needed of mechanical equipment
- Satisfactory written & verbal communication skills, (internal & external-all levels within an organization).
- Familiarity with operations production process, including start-up and shutdown.
- Ability to use Microsoft office.
