Crystal Geyser Roxane, a state-of-the-art Alpine Spring Water Manufacturing Facility, continues to grow our operation in Moultonborough, NH.

CG Roxane LLC is a privately held, family-owned and operated enterprise which produces Crystal Geyser® Alpine Spring Water®, the number one nationally distributed bottled spring water in the United States.

In addition to being a vertically integrated bottling company that makes our own caps and bottles through state-of-the-art machinery, as of 2019, CG Roxane became the first U.S. beverage company to open and operate a recycling PET facility. Primary Purpose of Position: Safely drive and operate all LPG- or electric-powered industrial trucks (“forklifts”), using steering wheel, accelerator, brakes, pedals, buttons, knobs, and levers to move the forklift and its lifting apparatus on single and double forklifts in an industrial facility. Lift, move, stack, stage and store Company products as well as palletized packaging materials, raw ingredients or equipment. Move items onto, and off of, various sizes types of commercial and non-commercial freight-haulers including tractor-trailers, railcars or railway containers, pickup trucks and others. Deliver raw materials to designated areas in the facility as directed, and according to schedules. Perform the above operations in enclosed warehouse spaces and outdoors on asphalt or concrete surfaces. Able to perform and document routine engine and mechanical inspections on forklifts to ensure operable condition; perform basic maintenance observations and tasks such as checking fluids, cleaning air filters, checking temperatures, LPG re-fueling as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the realization and focus that the safe operation of a forklifts is operator-dependent, and controllable.
  • Understand the particular hazards of forklift operation, and how to control them, including but not limited to: blind spots, weight of a forklift, tail-swing, tip overs, dropped loads, trailer loading and unloading (includes 53 foot and “drop trailers”), wet or slippery floors, stopping distances, proximity to other personnel and forklifts, excess speed.
  • Maintain constant verbal and non-verbal communication (example, eye contact) with other forklift operators, and other workers in proximity to the forklift, including all pedestrians.
  • Complete mandatory forklift inspection checklist in writing at the start of each shift. Identify and
  • report any maintenance issues immediately to the shift leader, production manager or maintenance department. Identify and immediately report situations that may require removing a forklift from service.
  • Using knowledge of all company products and article numbers, and written and verbal information from
  • schedules and shift leaders, identify locations of all products in warehouse areas before starting shift.
  • If required, provide production support by loading caps into the cap hopper during production. Assist palletizer operators with forklift duties during the shift as instructed. Provide leadership to palletizer operators who may driving in the warehouse to store finished products.
  • Provide concise, professional instructions to truck drivers as necessary as to the loading procedure and paperwork flow.
  • Monitor all trucks pulling into the assigned door at the dock from a window or man-door, to assure that the trailer restraint system or “dock lock” engages and the green light is on. If dock locks are not applicable, ensure that another restraint system, such as wheel chocks, are applied by the truck driver. Set the loading ramp into the trailer only after truck is secured and driver notified. Perform safety inspection on all trailers to assure there are no conditions that could affect the stability of the forklift. Perform the QA inspection of the trailer and document it on the loading instructions.
  • Understand the pallet pattern required by various trailer types and loads.
  • Use the AS400 screens on the forklift per company and customer requirements. Load trailers according to pick-up orders. Scan each pallet before loadingusing the scan gun on the forklift.
  • Assist and provide leadership to palletizer operators who are driving forklifts, during the shift as instructed.
  • Assist in repair/rework of damaged product as necessary.

General Qualifications Standards: Professional, calm demeanor. Able to switch tasks from mental to physical, differentiate between schedule demands and the focus on safe forklift operation, and avoid distraction while operating the forklift. Understand diagrams, drawings, training presentations and mechanical/physical properties of forklifts. Strong ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, truck drivers of diverse cultural backgrounds especially regarding safety practices (for example, pedestrians). Treat others with tact and respect, regardless of their status and position. Able to read and neatly print. Act as a team member, maintain a harassment-free, bullying-free workplace, demonstrate honesty, integrity in workplace interactions.

Mechanical Skills: Able to re-fuel the LPG tanks on forklift, understanding and handling LPG tank including all valves, fuel hoses, and nozzles, wearing appropriate PPE and using appropriate techniques. Perform engine, tire, other inspections, fluid monitoring; use compressed air safely to clean as directed.

Math Skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide; Accurately record numbers on checklists and forms. Use, analyze and reportnumbers used in shipping and receiving tasks.

Physical Abilities: Able to stand and walk on a concrete floor on a continuous basis for the duration of the shift and also drive the forklift on concrete or asphalt for the duration of the shift, making frequent turns and stops, with some inherent vibration or “bounce” of the seat. Mount and dismount the forklift properly and frequently during the shift. Twist upper body frequently, moving shoulders at least 90 degrees; turn head and neck to look over both shoulders frequently, use arms constantly, rotating shoulders in all planes while driving. Able to frequently lift, carry, push and pull objects of various sizes and up to 50 pounds from one level to another and at varying heights. Perform repetitive finger, arm and upper body movements to reach or move objects as well as equipment controls. Vision requirements include ability to focus at different distances, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision. Environmental Demands of the Position work areas include different levels of noise, working in areas close to other workers and moving forklifts, close proximity to moving and powered industrial machinery which the company takes steps to guard adequately and train employees as to the related hazards involved. Heat and cold in the workplace and water on floors, snow, and dripping water and driving outdoors may occur. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, hearing and eye protection, are required in some parts of the workplace and when performing certain tasks.
