Pay Rate/Hourly Rate/shift differential: 18.50 per hour/ no shift diff. $1500 sign on bonus.
Shift/Working Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday thru Friday.
Overtime Eligible: Yes
Add Details: This a 1st shift position.
Essential Job Functions
- Package product from line that weighs between 18-50 lbs. per bag.
- Must be able to lift bags to place on pallets, from floor to over shoulder, repeatedly. (approx. 1 bag/minute)
- Will observe product from line for proper color, texture and smell. Examples are provided to compare to. Will notify lead or supervisor immediately if something appears incorrect.
- Completes paperwork which includes but is not limited to: move tickets that are attached to each pallet, line sheets summarizing production, animal feed tickets for sale and readings of product/equipment (when needed).
- Procuring samples from production line for testing by QA Team.
- Completing weight and metal detector checks during shift.
- Clean during shift and at week-end in preparation for next production run.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Attend all meetings and trainings as required. Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to your direct supervisor or management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be able to work both independently and in team environment.
- Must be able to tolerate physical and environmental demands of the position.
- Must have some work experience doing heavy manual labor within the last 5 years.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Previous manufacturing/food production experience preferred.
