Job Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the daily activities of the Molding personnel, this includes all 3 shifts.

2. Conduct daily shift change meetings with the 2nd & 3rd Shift.

3. Review and action direct report time off requests in accordance with IEP’s time off policies.

4. Assess business needs and production requirements relative to overtime; provide recommendations for overtime to the Operations Manager for review.

5. Participate in daily production meetings.

6. Provide production reporting as it relates to departmental metrics as required.

7. Prepare performance evaluations for new and existing employees; review with HR and the Operations Manager along with any recommendations for pay increases. Once approved, review performance evaluation with employee and HR Manager.

8. Conduct and/or direct the training of new and existing employees within Molding and document the training thru the use of IEP’s training attendance roster (FRM-HUR-0014) which is then turned in to HR for record keeping.

9. Responsible for identifying employee performance related matters, generating corrective action plan for review / approval with HR (and Operations Manager, if required).

10. Ensure employees follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the Interplex Employee Manual. Address violation with appropriate corrective action to be reviewed / approved by HR (and Operations Manager, if required).

11. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials & molding supplies. Order as required through the established Kanban or PO Req. System.

12. Setup Molding machines in preparation of production run. Use SOP’s, work instructions, customer specifications for proper machine setup.

13. Operate molding machines in accordance with SOP’s, work instructions, & established production goals.

14. Investigate Root Cause and implement Corrective Action when prescribed production targets for throughput, yield and scrap are not achieved. Validate results and review with Operations Manager.

15. Follow Non-Conformance / Containment procedure as required.

16. Participate in MRB process as required.

17. Coordinate with Maintenance personnel for the timely completion of repairs.

18. Monitor department for safety and housekeeping, correcting deficiencies when possible and/or notifying the appropriate personnel for resolution.

19. Follow all International Standards that apply to IEP’s certification and QMS.

20. Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the Interplex Employee Manual.

21. Follow Company Safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

22. Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.

23. Perform duties outside of normal work hours as required.

24. Other duties as assigned.

Education /Skills /Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

2. Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.

3. Successfully complete 90-day probationary period.

4. 3+ years of plastic injection molding and supervisory experience.

5. Effective listening, learning and communication skills to include oral and written.

6. Cooperative with ability to work individually or in a team environment.

7. Organized with a high level of attention to detail.

8. Able to manage time effectively, prioritize workload for self and others, and multi-task as required.

9. Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and passion for continuous improvement.

10. Possess effective motivational skills.

11. Effective administrative & record keeping skills.

12. Basic to intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, & Excel.
