You are a dynamic individual with a mechanical engineering background. As a seasoned professional adept at optimizing schedules and ensuring quality standards, you'll oversee a variety of critical tasks. From coordinating production schedules with our Master Scheduler to ensuring seamless communication across teams, your strong communication skills will be vital. Attention to detail is paramount as you meticulously monitor inventory levels and maintain equipment functionality, including CNC machines. With your leadership abilities, you'll guide our team through department meetings, mentorship sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your proactive problem-solving approach will be instrumental in anticipating and addressing challenges before they arise. At BBO Poker Tables, we’ve mastered the art of crafting custom casino-quality poker tables that elevate game nights from ordinary to extraordinary. Our sister brand, Game Theory Tables, is a crafting premium board game tables, that are accessible to every gamer. In both brands, we have established a reputation for our superior craftsmanship, pioneering designs, and unparalleled customer support, positioning us at the forefront of the industry.

Our tables are more than furniture; they’re the epicenter of camaraderie, strategy, and excitement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Oversight and Scheduling (30% Time):

  • Coordinate closely with the Master Scheduler and Director of E-Commerce to develop and execute production schedules.
  • Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedule and optimize resource utilization.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain product quality standards.
  • Manage and validate sub-schedules for pallets, prints, and CNC components to align with the master production schedule.
  • Identify and address any issues or bottlenecks that may impact production output or quality.

2. Inventory Management and Supply Chain Coordination (20% Time):

  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of materials and supplies for production.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to facilitate timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Monitor and report on inventory accuracy and discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.

3. Equipment Maintenance and Facility Management (15% Time):

  • Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of production equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and production issues that are being caused by machinery issues.
  • Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to address equipment breakdowns and repair needs promptly.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety protocols and housekeeping standards.

4. CNC Engineering and In-House Production (20% Time):

  • Oversee CNC machining operations and in-house production processes.
  • Coordinate with CNC operators and production technicians to ensure efficient operation of CNC machines.
  • Monitor production output and quality of CNC machined parts, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize CNC programs and machining processes for quality and efficiency.

5. Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement (15% Time):

  • Track key performance metrics such as production output, quality metrics, and downtime.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to optimize operational performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience with CNC machining operations is necessary, and programming experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, and quality management principles.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with printers, heat presses, forklifts, and other production equipment is preferred.
  • International production experience is highly valued.
