The Collins Management System (CMS) is a value stream operating model that enables us to build, test and deliver solutions on time that meet our exceptional quality standards. By having a clear focus on our value streams, we're able to maintain continuity throughout the life cycle of a product and prevent breakdowns in performance. It's a framework that guides production over the entire lifecycle of the product. This position acts as the Operation's focal per CMS during Gates 1-4 and ensures successful transition into Gate 5. The OPM is the main point of contact for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, EH&S, and Quality.

This role will be performed ONSITE at our Collins Aerospace location in Coralville, IA

Primary Responsibilities:

• Acts as Operations focal for New Product Introduction, compliant with the Collins Management System
• Participates in Gate Reviews from conception through Gate5 transition
• Establishes review and transition criteria which indicate predictable quality, schedule and cost
• Creates, Communicates and Drives adherence to the Manufacturing Transition and Build plan 
• Oversees Operation’s Control Account Management Duties
• Develops recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
• Facilitates and directs scheduling activities
• Leads materials and logistics problem resolution
• Identifies and communicates risks to plan
• Encourages resolution-based conversations and drives cross functional team to action
• Influences decisions in a matrixed organization
• Interfaces with Program Office, and Engineering, and Operations Manufacturing

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
