Schneeberger Collective, a fast-growing architecture and interior design start up is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the firm's growth. We are building a world-class team, with an inclusive, innovative and collaborative culture. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurially minded, passionate person who has hands-experience in a breadth of tasks and a proven track record of success. This individual will report to the CEO and work with the entire team to design, implement and support the company's strategic and business goals. This is an in-person, in-office, full-time role.

There are 3 key areas of responsibility: Strategic Direction, Operations Management, and Resource Management. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people across all areas of the business and can span between strategic and proactive thinking to detailed day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategy

  • Serve as "right-hand" advisor and counterpart to CEO, providing critical feedback and recommendations from across the business cycle.
  • Partner/collaborate with the team to identify risks, success factors and objectives. Develop near and long-term planning and set organizational goals.
  • Design and implement related execution plans, including coordinating across team, setting goals and measuring outcomes.
  • Develop and manage company-wide processes, templates, and technology platforms to support sustained growth and scale. Evaluate investments, recommend improvements, and implement upgrades.
  • Develop and perform ongoing operational benchmarks and reporting to enable Schneeberger Collective to capture opportunities and reduce risk.

Operations

  • Own and manage day-to day company operations, including streamlining operations by finding ways for continuous improvement and efficiencies.
  • Manage client on and offboarding in conjunction with sales and delivery teams.
  • Working with finance support team, oversee and manage areas including client billings, expense and time reporting, revenue and expense forecasts, payroll & other payments, etc.
  • Implement service contracts and manage/coordinate external vendors to ensure smooth business operations including IT, facilities, recruiting, marketing, finance, and legal.
  • Own and manage data integrity and metrics across core systems.
  • Provide logistical support for periodic marketing and sales and other events.
  • Office management including safety/security protocols. Proactively troubleshoot issues as they arise and serve as onsite liaison.

Resource Management

  • Manage team lifecycle function (in conjunction with external recruiting, HR, benefits and payroll providers). Includes recruiting & hiring, performance management process, compensation management, onboard and offboard employees and contractors
  • Act as hiring manager and point person for onboarding as well as HR liaison for personnel.
  • Work with leadership for capacity planning including scheduling and deployment of team members.
  • Manage team tools and processes such as setting benefits and policies, employee handbook, etc.
  • Collaborate with leadership to deliver employee programs such as recognition programs, professional development and special events such as client/team gatherings.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
  • 4-8 years of operations experience within a professional services field. Preference for experience in/passion for the Architecture and Design environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, support, and collaborate with clients/team to achieve project goals. Exemplary communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, ability to handle multiple competing priorities in fast-paced, creative, professional and client-focused environment.
  • Track record of success managing and working with external vendors and remote and/or contractor team members to create a seamless operating environment.
  • Working knowledge of technologies that span an organization including reporting (Excel), financial platforms (ie Quickbooks), hiring and people management tools, Office 365, managed IT providers and equipment vendors.
  • Proactive and dynamic- able to rally the team around a vision and coordinate to completion.
  • Problem-solver with curiosity and a drive for ongoing improvement.
  • High attention to detail, follow-through and accountability.
