Position Overview
The Operations Manager supports the functioning, implementation, and management of the internal office operations to always ensure an inclusive and responsive office culture and climate. The Operations Manager is accountable for all Board activities.
This is a full-time position based in Brooklyn and reports directly to the Chief Operating & Financial Officer (COFO).
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following as needed to meet the goals and objectives:
Board Operations Management
- Acts as the primary Board liaison for all communications
- Assists the COFO on preparation for and execution of timely and efficient Board meetings
- Manages revisions and updates to Board Reference Guide
- Manages revisions and updates to Board Member Contact List and Committee Assignment List
- Ensures Board Drive is always updated and without errors
- Records quarterly Board Meeting Attendance and Annual Attendance
- Oversees Board Meeting calendar and invitations/RSVPs for Board and Staff
- Manages Board Meeting space rental, room setup, technology, and food/beverage ordering and delivery
- Records and prepares minutes for Board Meetings and specified Board committee meetings
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
Operations Management
- Develops strategies and processes to support accountabilities, internal collaboration, error free, and high-quality deliverables
- Develops and executes strategies for office environment (physical and employee engagement)
- Supervises direct report, Office Assistant
- Ensure all office equipment is working properly at all times
- Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement
- Manges CEO’s internal calendar
- Special projects as directed by President & CEO and COFO
- Liaison between landlord and Brooklyn Org
- All other responsibilities as directed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years’ work experience preferred
- Ability to multitask, work in a high-performance environment, with tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Strong project management skills preferred
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
- Experience with office relocation, configuration, and set up a plus
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and other virtual platforms
- Experience supervising a team
- Commitment to excellence and high standards

Additional Information
Brooklyn Org offers an excellent benefits package, which includes 30 days paid time off, 11 holidays, birthday PTO, summer Friday half days, employer-paid health and dental insurance, and a friendly work environment.
Currently, full-time employees are required to come into the office at least 3 days a week, subject to workload and in person collaboration needs.
