POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Solutions, LLC has an opening for an Operations Manager (OM). The OM shall be responsible for analyzing and improving operational processes and supporting presidents across multiple subsidiaries with operational activities. The OM shall review performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of various projects and offer solutions/ recommendations for ways to improve these areas. The OM will support a portfolio that includes various Federal Contracts.
The OM will be responsible for supporting subsidiary presidents by working to support and manage operational activities. The OM will manage budget activities, oversee individual programs for efficiency opportunities, and assist with customer and client engagement. The OM will support rollout of initiatives and policy updates and ensure they are incorporated successfully. The OM will be the liaison between program managers and subsidiary presidents to provide status updates and findings on project technical and financial performance. Review of project financial statements, invoices, profit and loss statements, contract documentation and deliverables, technical reports, etc will be necessary to measure program and project success, driving profit and results in operations.
- Evaluate financial and operational information for projects to identify issues and barriers for corrective action, through utilization of operating process, daily management reports, dashboards, and monthly financial reports.
- Monitor project performance against strategic plans; providing coaching and direction to subordinate managers; and otherwise providing leadership toward success.
- Support budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing activities, overseeing subordinate managers with P&L responsibility. Reports accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
- Develop and promote strong customer relationships through the execution, performance and quality of work provided from subsidiary operations to end customers.
- Support implementation of subsidiary policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
- Manage quality assurance of programs and subsidiaries.
- Identify and address problems and opportunities for subsidiary projects.
- Provides direction, development and leadership to his/her direct report employees.
- Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures.
- Support program manager/subordinate communication with the management team.
- Assist program managers with oversight of direct/indirect employees/contractors
- Support strategic business development and proposal activities
- Communicate progress and budget reports, goals, and risks to subsidiary Presidents.
- Travel may be required, including to austere environments and/or developing countries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a US citizen and possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Bachelors' degree required; Masters' degree preferred
- Minimum 6+ years' experience managing government contractors (DoS and DoD experience preferred), of which several years are as a manager for a Division, Operating Group, or large project.
- Possess an understanding of Professional Services contracts and doing business within the federal government sector throughout the US; International experience preferred.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and critical-thinking skills is required.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must possess the ability to create and implement new policies and procedures to increase efficiency.
- Technical writing skills is preferred; Excellent Written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a strong and agile leader with proven ability to work effectively across multiple projects.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel); ability to create and edit high quality written deliverables.
