The Operations Manager will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the business. The leader will have responsibility for operations, planning, quality, and supply chain. The Operations Manager will possess excellent communication, leadership, and team building skills.
This position is onsite only. The Operations Manager will need to work hours corresponding to the shift schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities – Operations Manager
- Identify and align operational priorities with commercial business vision - ensure production and delivery of the highest quality products at the lowest costs, consistent with customer requirements, company plans and profit objectives.
- Develop and manage production schedule. Assigns duties to ensure that production schedules are met with maximum efficiency; responsible for making changes to optimize labor, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPI’s), daily performance targets, reporting metrics, and variance thresholds are met or exceeded, and drive for accountability and solutions when they are not. Responsible for providing accurate and timely reports and updates on KPI progress. Anticipate bottlenecks that could impede smooth production flows and on-time customer deliveries.
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process from start to finish, including planning, materials procurement, labor management, production scheduling, quality control, shipping, and warehousing.
- Drive Lean principles through a Continuous Improvement approach, including Kaizen, 5S, and Standard Work.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a high-impact team that thrives in a collaborative operating culture, making changes where necessary to ensure strategic alignment and execution performance. The manager will need to make sure all personnel are fit for the roles they are assigned and can operate with minimum guidance. Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, production, problem solving, and technical and interpersonal communication skills.
- Become actively engaged and connected by forming strong cross functional, and business-unit relationships, in particular with Engineering, Customer Care and Sales. Establish a strong partnership with the leadership team. Partner with plant leadership to enhance facility performance and metrics - lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and develop innovative practices, methods and procedures that add value for the facility.
- Over communicates with team and other departments. Spend time on the floor engaging with employees and overseeing operations as appropriate. Maintain a positive work environment for all employees.
- Facilitate cultural change initiatives within the operation – focused on safety, continuous improvement, operational accountability, and positive employee engagement.

Qualifications and Education – Operations Manager
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production management or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production goals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards.
