FedEx Lead Driver / Operations Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Driver with operations management experience looking to start a rewarding career with an outstanding transportation logistics company.

We currently operate 15-20 FedEx Routes in the Waukesha, WI area, and the new Lead Driver will assist in the successful execution of these routes along with other related business operations.

The Lead Driver is responsible for assisting with delivery teams safely through action and accountability, maintaining positive and professional relationships with drivers and service managers, and maintaining business needs.

Manager Responsibilities:

• Reliable, responsible, professionally passionate and honest.

• Assist business tasks and team members to meet the needs of business.

• Accurately engineer routes for season, volume spikes and any other situations. (will train)

• Ability to see the strengths of drivers and areas of opportunity. (will train)

• Ensure employee’s compliance to policies including, pre-post trip and safety.

• Maintain positive business relationships with station management and team members.

• Quick and professional responses to all service mail, misdeliveries and/or complaints.

• Ability to perform road-tests, security audits, ride-along evaluations and shadow audits..

• Possess or develop a good understanding of FedEx Dynamic Route Optimization (DRO) (will train)

• Enforce all company policies and procedures.

• Possess good understanding and familiarity of all ERC routes. (will train)

• Ensure ERC is in compliance with all guidelines as set forth by FedEx. (will train)

• Ensure accurate deliveries and excellent customer service.

• Must be able to communicate openly, honestly and frequently with drivers, FedEx personnel and ERC ownership. (will train)

Logistics Previous Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of assistant management or direct management experience preferred.

• Must be 21 years or older.

• Must have 12 months of commercial driving experience in the last 3 years. A CDL is not required.

• 5+ years of experience as a package and delivery driver (preferred but not required)

• Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check.

• Must have a clean driving record.
