Do you have leadership experience and have a passion for coaching and developing staff? UW Credit Union's Card Programs department is growing and hiring an Operations Manager specifically focusing on Debit Card & ATM Network.
The Operations Manager role does not require card programs experience but leadership experience in a financial industry is preferred. The person will play an instrumental role in the development and execution of debit card and ATM network initiatives supporting the strategic direction of the Card Programs department.
You would be responsible for optimizing the overall debit card and ATM user experience, managing vendor relationships associated with day-to-day operations and aligning staff, systems, and processes to ensure a high degree of operational excellence is met. In addition, you would lead multiple projects and be responsible for compliance related tasks that impact the Card Programs department.

A Day in the life of an Operations Manager
Each day will be different but below is a snapshot of what you will do:
- Start the day off by reviewing emails and preparing for your day
- Connect with your direct reports to provide coaching, training and development through dialogs, informal in-the-moment feedback, recognition opportunities, performance plans, on-boarding, advanced training and more
- Partner with Card Programs team members and Cross-functional leaders to meet the department's operational goals and achieve business results
- Lead and collaborate with the Card Programs project team to enhance the department's products and processes
- Develop and execute program strategies that align with the Card Programs and ATM road-maps and annual business plans
- Maintain up to date processes and procedures while being forward thinking to enhance member experience
- Oversee governmental regulations and operating rules while managing regulatory or product changes that potentially have a high risk and/or impact to the organization or members
- Contribute to activities that promote team and organizational success
- Actively role model behaviors necessary to achieve department and organizational goals
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 2 - 4 years of leadership experience; experience working as a leader in a financial industry role preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent years of experience in the industry
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of State and Federal compliance regulations (Reg E and Reg Z) applicable within the card payments industry preferred
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities, while working in a fast-paced and agile team environment
