Form of workSeeking Caring Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our Compassionate Team!St. Joseph Hospice in Covington, LA is seeking a PRN Hospice Aide CNA to join our team and become part of our center of excellence as we provide hospice care to our patients and their loved ones.We consider it an honor to walk with patients and families through this part of life's journey!Job Duties: Provide assistance with mobility, transferring, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, or undressing, eating and toileting Assist with the safe use of a walker or wheelchair as taught and supervised by the nurse or physical therapist for a specific patient Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following our guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to your supervisor Report any change in the patients mental or physical condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary teamQualifications: Minimum of 18 years old Completed High School or earned Equivalency Diploma Successful completion of a formal certification training program or a written skills test and competency evaluation Minimum of six (6) months work experience in a direct care setting Current CPR certification required Have dependable transportation, current drivers license, and auto insuranceBenefits: Excellent pay Great working environment Advancement opportunities Employee referral program Continue education opportunities Mileage reimbursement (reflective of fluctuating fuel prices)Exceptional People providing Exceptional Care.All inquiries will be kept confidential.
