Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Operations Manager is the direct managing supervisor of location Shift Supervisors, as well as the individual crew members.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for scheduling of personnel according to the total hours allocated to the facility.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for assigning and overseeing project work as required.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for inspecting quality control of all assignments during all working hours.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for all “Monthly Safety Topics” training to reinforce that working safely is an important part of DRC's job operation.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining proper inventory control of supplies and materials needed for the cleaning program. Record all miscellaneous product given out in a monthly log to ensure it is within the budgeted controls.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for monitoring all equipment and ensures that all is in working condition and coordinate repairs with the General Manager / Corporate Office.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for all proper training on equipment and Safety Data Sheets.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for 100% compliance with DRC's Management Operating System.
- The Operations Manager will review staffing needs and prospective new employees with the H.R. Manager prior to hiring new crew members, subject to the rules and procedures set by the Corporate Policy Manual, as well as specific directives of Upper Management.
- The Operations Manager may be responsible for interviews, employee orientation, and communicating disciplinary actions with Human Resources.
- The Operations Manager ensures all new hires complete onboarding forms from the outlaying locations and submit to Human Resources for approval.
- The Operations Manager is responsible for interfacing with their Site Managers/Leads logging all requests with approvals from corporate, walking the facility with Property Operations.
- Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License, and will be subject to DMV and Criminal Background Check.
MANAGEMENTSKILLS:
- The Operations Manager must have good personal management skills. These include time management, follow-up, good personal communication skills, and the ability to cross communicate between crew members and customer management both verbally and through email.
- Organizational management skills required include goal monitoring, budget management, a full and working knowledge of corporate management reporting requirements, and the ability to organize individuals and direct them in order to get the required tasks completed within budgeted guidelines.
- The personality of the Operations Manager must be one of even-temper, but with unbending dedication to goals and procedures. The Operations Manager must treat employees fairly, with respect and provide a positive environment to work in.
COMPUTERSKILLS:
- Operations Manager should be able to use a personal computer or smart phone to aid in efficient communications, email and record keeping.
TECHNICALABILITY:
- The Operations Manager must have fully developed skills in the cleaning processes.
PERFORMANCEMEASUREMENTS:
- The Operations Manager must be performance oriented. The specifications for each job site must be achieved as a priority, to the satisfaction of mall management, or as directed by the Regional Manager.
SCHEDULE:
- The Operations Manager must have flexibility and work on the shifts that the customers require. This means monitoring first shift, second shift and even third shifts. It is the Operations Managers responsibility to make sure that all shifts work well together and workloads are evenly distributed between shifts
