Job Description
- Lead and manage pavement maintenance, landscape maintenance, and snow removal service crews from morning meeting to shop close
- Set and oversee daily job schedules
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Order, receive, and stock materials and equipment
- Hire and train employees for pavement, landscape, and snow removal crews
- Perform regular job site visits to check-in with crews and ensure quality standards are met
- Act as shop owner responsible for managing the shop environment and expectations
- Coordinate fleet and equipment maintenance needs with outside vendors
- Communicate with customers and key accounts on job requests and concerns
- Work with Project Manager, Office Manager, and others in the organization to confirm job schedules and coordinate customer communications
- Partner with President on projects and process improvements to grow the business and elevate the quality of our services
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 7-10+ years of progressive operations management experience
- Experience directly leading operations teams
- High attention to detail and quality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Wisconsin Drivers License with good driving record
- Experience in asphalt, concrete, or landscaping industries preferred, but not required
- Ability to work additional hours during the week as needed, including occasional weekend hours
