PURPOSE OF JOB:
To Run Transload Operation and oversee all aspects of the physical cargo receiving, storage, and shipping activities.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Paid Holidays
- Newly hired employees are entitled to all mandatory and optional/shift holidays that remain for the calendar year. A newly hired employee who begins employment after January 1 of the calendar year is not entitled to more than ten (12) paid holidays for that calendar year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the work week plan of operations in advance for each week
- Process and monitor truck pick up, delivery and transload schedule (tracking/checking/confirming inbound truck loads)
- Create and manage transload schedules
- Process and monitor ocean carrier (monitoring vessel movements and port congestion, selecting the most suitable vessel schedule for each week’s shipments and requesting cutoff extension as needed)
- Oversee and manage staff conducting the following tasks:
- Pre-check empty containers and address discrepancies to ocean carrier; request replacement as needed
- Inspect cargo/Perishable temperature food integrity process (identifying abnormalities, documentation, and reporting discrepancies to customers)
- Monitor loading process, confirm on board, track, trouble shoot and communicate related operational issues to vendors and customers
- Billing and accounting tasks including offshore / 3rd party billing, AP/AR
- Process necessary data correction
- Customer service for both existing and potential accounts
- Develop new business and analyze current client’s logistical problems and produce innovative solutions
- Address customer complaints, investigate root cause for product issues at origin or upon arrival at destination
- Host customer visits as necessary
- Additional tasks may be added as necessary

List any required experience (of what type, for what duration, in what industry, etc.): 2 years logistics experience
Must be able to work in cold storage environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of export operations, warehouse, perishable goods and export compliance. Ability to grasp working knowledge of proprietary freight operating system in short period of time. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Thorough knowledge of PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc). Must be able to work in cold storage environment.
