PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $110,900-$135,600 annually. The full Pay Range is $86,100-$160,300 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. . IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
Join our team as an Operations Engineer and make a meaningful impact by taking charge of the creation, fundamental configuration, and technical know-how of our ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to offer first-rate training, support, and customer service while working in a dynamic, solution-focused environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Compliance: Adhere to BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory, and Information Protection requirements.
- Security First Mindset: Deploy products and services with a security-first mindset, considering security implications in all updates and changes.
- Create proof-of-concept applications: Develop go-to-market proof-of-concept applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Infrastructure: Support bi-modal and hybrid infrastructure, tailoring products, and services to meet customer and business needs.
- Continuous Learning Mindset: Stay aligned with organizational and industry patterns by attending conferences, training, and communities of practice.
- Document Best Practices: Document product architecture and communicate with stakeholders about product operation.
- Develop and execute test plans: Create thorough and organized test plans and suites, estimating, organizing, planning, and prioritizing testing-related tasks including User Access Testing (UAT).
- Identify and track software flaws: Determine, record, and track software flaws, conducting rigorous regression testing of corrected flaws.
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB): Use Snow Software or similar tool to manage ITSM, CSM, SecOps, etc.)
- Automation: Automate services and processes using scripting languages and ancillary products
- Teamwork: Deliver solutions that directly contribute to team success and satisfy customer and business needs. Collaborate with team members to implement best practices.
- Prioritization: Remediate configurations, system vulnerabilities, and risks assigned by priority.
- Lead by example: Conduct basic code and peer reviews using modern software methodologies in collaboration with senior engineers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of related functional experience in areas such as Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Unified Communications, Virtualization, Web and Application Development, Infrastructure Services, Enterprise Management and Support, Infrastructure support, or Desktop and Client.
- Technical focus in two or more areas such as: Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS, SaaS, Hypervisor, Enterprise SANs, Backups, Microsoft M365, Operating Systems, Hardware Solutions, Infrastructure-as-Code, or other modern enterprise infrastructure systems.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting, monitoring, integrating, configuring, and administering SaaS applications and/or internal platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience designing, maintaining, and deploying products and services in a team environment.
- Proficiency with agile methodologies, lean principles, and tools such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience designing maintaining products, services and to production in a team environment.
- Proficient with agile methodologies, lean principles, and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Demos, Retrospective, etc.)
- Previous experience optimizing, debugging using one or more scripting languages (Ex. PowerShell, Python)
