The Operations Engineer will be responsible for identifying underlying problems within current operation processes and working with cross-functional teams to draw up action plans or initiate specific projects to solve these problems to reduce operation cost, increase operation efficiency, improve operation quality, improve inventory accuracy, etc.
- Analyze and identify underlying problems within current operation processes, including but not exclusive to fulfillment operation, and perform process improvement by standardizing process flow (flow charts, SOP, standard files, etc.)
- Incorporate process changes to Paragon Workflows, including variations for new business models
- Work as a Software Product Manager to work closely with different business units, such as IT Development to design software systems or tools to support process improvement
- Engage key stakeholders and teams, such as Field Operation, IT Development, and other business units in alignment on project charters, implementation plans, and success metrics
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operation processes
- Provide engineering support to projects needed, such as sourcing appropriate equipment or machines, warehouse layout design, price negotiation, supplier recommendation, system integration etc.
- Support 5S and Kaizen initiatives, facilitate management through following these practices, as well as helping associates to understand its importance and value
- Ensure our warehouse team performs inventory count on a daily basis
- Evaluate, analyze, train, and support DMAIC/Kaizen Events projects
- Check location size accuracy based on order volume, bin fill rate
- Conduct daily walk-through to check expiration date and quality of product, as well as identify any quality issues
- Ensures the facility complies with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Participate in team projects as needed
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in process improvement
- Able to function well in loosely structured situations and works effectively in situations involving uncertainty or lack of information
- Effectively handles multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
- Fast and enthusiastic learner, able to catch up on unexperienced fields within a relatively short period of time
- Skills with Excel (pivot table), VLOOKUP, SQL, AutoCAD, and MS Project
- Excel VBA, Google Script (or JavaScript), and Tableau are a plus
- High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills in both English & Mandarin
