Department Profile Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets. The Operations Transformation team is a global group responsible for driving the central automation strategy for Operations.

This is an exciting space to be, working with key stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Business & firmwide stakeholders to deliver strategic transformation initiatives for all business areas (ISG, Wealth & Investment Management) and their respective Operations groups. The team is organized around 4 key pillars: - Discovery, Data & Analytics: provide strategic insights through discovery tools that can support process understanding in preparation for automation - Solutions: utiliize an integrated suite of automation tooling to drive Operations efficiency & create capacity, using several new-to-market tools & technologies, including Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath, Dynamics, Power Platform and Generative AI - Governance & Control: ensure that Global Operations achieve the set capacity creation targets for 2024 - balancing the need to automate and scale with the required oversight & adherence to risk policies & frameworks. - Culture & Recognition: create a sizeable cultural shift to recognize & reward a transformation mindset across Global Operations, providing the training, communications & engagement events to support Operations employees on this journey.

Responsibilities As a team member supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives within Morgan Stanley, your main responsibilities will revolve around empowering AI solutions within our Operations business units. You will play a pivotal role in the education, intake, and development of AI-powered applications. - Manage initiatives by facilitating discovery at the program level to ensure all project features are planned out in advance and milestones are agreed upon and achievable - Identify and monitor potential project and program risks, working closely with team leads to create effective mitigation strategies, ensuring project and program objectives are met - Oversee and manage project processes and communication structures, including the administration of project collaboration tools, to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team - Act as a liaison between different teams, proactively identifying dependencies and impacts, and aligning all plans on delivery criteria to ensure coordinated efforts - Utilize AI capabilities to demonstrate use cases that support business objectives, showcasing potential impact Qualifications - University degree or higher in fields like Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Logistics, or Organizational Behavior, preferably with a focus on business/financial services - Hands-on experience with requirement gathering, application architecture frameworks, and testing execution is required - Excellent understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts - Exceptional presentation/training/coaching skills, with the ability to facilitate in-depth process discovery, optimization, and idea generation sessions - Keen sense of risk management and the ability to effectively escalate issues when needed - The ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment is crucial - Strong proficiency with Project Management Tools such as Jira and MS Office 365 is expected - Project Management and/or Agile certification - Professional experience in banking and financial services (preferred in capital markets) - Experience in a similar position in business process improvement like - Financial services/product/reporting knowledge highly desirable, as well as, related industry regulations - Knowledge of accounting and basic terminologies used in the financial services sector Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
