About the Position: Located at Detroit Dam, the central control station for 2 multipurpose hydroelectric generation facilities with 140 megawatts of power production capacity. Detroit Dam is located within the North Santiam Canyon approximately 45 miles southeast of Salem. This position has a significant amount of interaction with dam safety, water management, and hydropower production interests (internal and external to the agency) in balancing planned work and demands on the facilities.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Qualified applicants for this position must describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service working with power production and related equipment, or power generation, or power transmission.
