Title: Enterprise Technology Specialist
Location: ON-SITE in Lake Mary, FL
$30/hr W2
6+ month Contract-to-hire
Job Description:
This person will be required to work with peers across the country to solve local site issues, as well as support those across the organization in other sites and remote. You will own your site's support, infrastructure, projects, and relationships with the business teams.
Technical work includes: Windows Desktop/Laptop enterprise imaging, Thin Client imaging, full end user workstation support, Citrix support, Permissions/Security knowledge and requests, Ricoh Printer and Print Server support, server room duties (Switches, Routers, ISP equipment, Access Points, cabling, patch panels, etc..), collaborating with various enterprise teams (Distributed Networking, Telecom, Server, Corporate Security, Desktop Engineers, etc..), and any other technology that utilizes or will utilize in the future.
Minimum Requirements:
• Associate Degree in Information Systems or related equivalent work experience in an IS position
• 4+ years of experience in supporting IT Infrastructure or Security services
• Any experience in an Operations Analyst position
• Any previous retail experience
• Knowledge of infrastructure system operations
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement overall infrastructure/middleware components per project with infrastructure teams, ensuring that overall solution is designed to meet SLA (performance and up-time), DR and scalability needs required by the solution
• Provide ad hoc technical training to customer groups on company technologies, infrastructure, hardware, and software applications
• Execute incident and change management processes for PC, server, or other in scope applications and hardware
• Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for technical incidents
• Provide technical support to diagnose, analyze, research and resolve simple computer incidents for internal and external customers
• Responsible for recognizing, researching, isolating, resolving and documenting problems with information system products and services
• Document and route customer escalations and recommend appropriate technical team or resource to help resolve issues
• Partner and communicate with vendors or cross functional teams on support and project initiatives
• Manage physical inventory by storing, moving, deploying, collecting, and shipping/receiving PCs, Printers, Servers, etc (requires lifting)
• Develop and follow documented processes and procedures to ensure infrastructure systems stability
• Maintain and participate in the development of operational procedures, processes and scripts
• Provide and analyze usage, performance, service level, compliance and audit reporting
• Implement, report, and monitor service upgrades (e.g. security fixes, etc.)
• Test and support software/hardware upgrades that directly affect area of expertise
• Complete project plans for the implementation and rollout of new or updated software and processes
• Perform process, hardware and software analysis on new technologies in their area of support and make recommendations to management
• Provide off-hours on-call support as required
• Travel to offsite work locations as needed
