The Operational Risk Management (ORM) Analyst will assist the Director of ORM develop and align the Operational Risk Framework in partnership with the Enterprise Risk Management team. The incumbent will actively contribute to the identification, measurement, monitoring and controls regarding Operational Risk profiles across the organization. The ORM Analyst will be heavily engaged in developing the ORM processes and professional practices, assisting with the implementation and ongoing monitoring.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Aid in the development new material and update existing documentation for the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Policies and Programs.
  • Assist in the development and maturation of a Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.
  • Assist with the development and ongoing review of an Operational Loss/Event Program to identify, classify, determine the root cause of, and report on events that result in operational losses or near-misses.
  • Partner with Risk Liaisons and FLOD to identify controls, risks and Operational Risk events, losses and near misses.
  • Aid in the development of the Enterprise Change Management (ECM) processes to provide proper oversight to all critical changes that are occurring across the enterprise and will be responsible for the Enterprise Change Management (ECM) intake, assessment, Committee reporting and approval process.
  • Assist with the ongoing training of Risk Liaisons and Risk Owners to ensure that adequate training is provided to all appropriate personnel.
  • Facilitate Risk Control Self-Assessments with the applicable Risk Liaison(s), Department Representative(s) and Risk Owner(s)in compliance with the RCSA Program and it associated framework.
  • Provide credible challenge to the FLOD's risk-taking and risk assessments.
  • Monitor the escalation and adequate root-cause analysis for issues, and operational loss events.
  • Provide independent review and challenge of loss data elements within GRC.
  • Stay apprised of proposed rules, new or changed laws and regulations as well as emerging issues and hot industry topics to enhance ORM Program as appropriate.
  • Maintain and support development of Company documents, tools, and methodologies related to Operational Risk Management.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of diversified financial services experience preferably with a concentration in Risk Management, audit or accounting, compliance, operations or similar discipline.
  • Must have experience identifying and assessing controls and risks, through RCSAs, monitoring and testing work, or auditing.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of banking and operations management
  • Must have a high degree of analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Must have the ability to interact with regulators and auditors.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as good written, oral, and visual presentation skills.
  • Must have relevant knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment and Risk Management frameworks and principles.
