SUMMARY: Assist leadership with providing day to day direction to team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This is a working team lead and this position will perform hands on tasks in conjunction with assigning work, providing performance feedback on team members to the supervisor and managers and opening or closing the building to cover shift gaps. In addition to providing support on a shift that requires additional leadership. This position is required to actively support the Company’s vision and goals, living the 5A culture – Attitude, Alignment, Appreciation, Accountability, Ambition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following; other duties will be assigned in a progressive manner.
• Guide and perform tasks alongside the non-exempt team members.
• Provide feedback to the salaried supervisors and managers on team member performance.
• Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed and notify leadership immediately of any concerns.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Facilitate problem solving and collaboration with the cell leads (responsible for the process on each cell) and the supervisors and managers within manufacturing / operations.
• Familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance.
• Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements, cost and schedule.
• Use of small tools and equipment to assemble products.
• Job will require the ability to understand and translate blueprints, control plans, manufacturing plans, and visual aids.
• Duties will also include part marking. Part marking will be by rubber stamp, computer - controlled machines and other means determined by blueprints.
• Requirements for testing will include pressure test, functional testing, dielectric and resistance testing, visual testing, flow testing and any other testing required by procedure.
• All completed work has to be documented according to procedures.
• Active participation in 6s, lean initiatives, continual improvement, and any other program deemed necessary by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May be responsible for team member tasking and opening and closing the building in the absence of a salaried manufacturing leaders. Responsibilities include safety awareness, training team members; planning, assigning work; recognizing team members for positive behaviors and resolving departmental obstacles in partnership with salaried leaders. If a performance issue arises with a team member, the Operational Team Leader will partner immediately with a salaried leader (Supervisor, Manager, Sr. Manager) to resolve the issue at hand.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with other team members.
