Sentara is hiring an OR Attendant at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
Qualifications:
HSD/GED Required
Experience working in a surgical setting in some capacity and is familiar with the processes of turning an OR over preferred.
Experience with hospital experience (ESD, Transporter) preferred.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work around patients, specimens, blood products, sterile supplies required.
Strong Team work and communication required.
Shift: Full Time, Rotating Shift
**First (7-3 or 8-4) and Mid-Shifts (10-6 or 11-7) available!

Job Summary
The Operating Room (OR) Attendant supports professional staff in caring for the surgical patient. This support is met through patient transport, handling and delivery of specimens, procurement of equipment and supplies. Other responsibilities include the cleaning of surgical suites and equipment, and restocking.
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications:
HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
