Job Summary:
The Adult Division in the Department of Psychiatry (DOP) has an opening for a part time .2 FTE Open Rank (Clinical Instructor/Senior Instructor).
The part-time Registered Dietitian (RD) will provide individual counseling and education for our Student and Resident Mental Health patients. SRMH is a clinical service in operation since 2008 and provides and coordinates Mental Health and wellness services to approximately 4300 health professional students and more than 1000 CU GME and Denver Health residents and fellows.
The RD will work with patients who desire to establish healthy eating patterns, including patients with eating disorders and patients with chronic or acute illness. The RD will conduct nutrition assessments and determine appropriate nutrition-related interventions. They should be able to analyze the effectiveness of interventions and adapt accordingly. They will coordinate with other SRMH clinicians. This The position is 8 hours per week and can be between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday or 8am to 5pm Thursday or Friday. This clinician will practice virtually and in the Anschutz Health Sciences Building.
The SRMH team members include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and psychiatric nurse practitioners. The team provides initial psychiatric evaluations, ongoing Mental Health care, and referrals, as necessary. SRMH supports the missions of all the schools, helping them effectively address Mental Health issues that arise in their programs or with their students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient centered individual dietary assessment, education, and counseling
- Develop nutrition plans and implement interventions based on patient's health status
- Collaborate with other SRMH clinicians and deliver patient nutrition recommendations
- Serve as a resource to the campus and community for existing and new programs in the areas of health and wellness
- Facilitate group sessions
- Document patient visits using an electronic medical record within 24-hours of the visit
- Provide outreach to the schools, colleges, and programs
- Participate in scheduled individual supervision, health team meetings, interdisciplinary work groups, staff meetings, and other required meetings
- Utilize best practices and provide all treatment within appropriate limits
- Complete and follow through with financial and clinical information necessary to ensure reimbursement for provided services
- Demonstrate high quality customer service focus, excellent communication, and professionalism with clinic users, co-workers, and representatives from outside agencies
- Other duties as assigned

Education:
- Master's degree
Experience:
- 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: RDN
- 2 years of professional level experience in nutrition and dietetics
- Experience working with patients with eating disorders/disordered eating
License:
- Current RDN certification
Senior Instructor:
Education:
- Master's degree
Experience:
- 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: RDN
- 2 years of professional level experience in nutrition and dietetics
- Experience working with patients with eating disorders/disordered eating
License:
- Current RDN certification
Preferred Qualifications (applicable for all ranks)
- Relevant Advanced Certifications with CDR
- 1 year of outpatient clinic education and counseling.
- Experience working with patients with eating disorders/disordered eating

HIRING RANGE:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at HIRING RANGE:
$11,800 to $16,000 for .2 FTE.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
