Job Summary
Position Description
The School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) seeks outstanding applicants for three Biomedical Sciences tenure-track faculty positions through a cluster hiring initiative.
Faculty hired through this open-rank search will bridge traditional disciplines across NSM and campus to stimulate innovative team-based research to tackle a range of complex problems in healthcare and will help to develop and implement new undergraduate and graduate education programs in healthcare-related sciences. Successful candidates will find a highly-engaging and collaborative intellectual environment at UT Dallas, which features state-of-the-art research facilitiesfor advanced transdisciplinary research.
The appointment commences for the Fall 2024 semester.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: A PhD or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biology, Biophysics, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Human Genetics, Physiology, Neurobiology, Immunology, Pathobiology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline is required prior to employment. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to produce research and scholarly or creative achievements that enhance the program and the discipline, and able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
Preferred Education and Experience: Highest consideration will be given to applicants who have a demonstrated record of collaborative, interdisciplinary research, scholarly achievements, and excellence with clear potential to develop a well-funded research program.

NSM has been a crucial anchor of UT Dallas; even before its beginnings in 1969. Its departments and research centers continue to play a vital role in the University's transformation into one of the top research institutions in the United States.
