Job Description
The Oil-Free Compressor Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of oil-free compressors in various industries. The technician will work closely with the oil free team and follow a regular maintenance schedule to ensure that the compressors operate at peak performance.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain, and repair oil-free compressors in various industries.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems and components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks based on OEM recommended tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compressors meet industry standards and regulations.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions, defects, or failures in equipment.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Work with other team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or 3-5 years relevant field experience
- Experience with oil-free compressor installation, maintenance, and repair with expertise in centrifugal technology
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
- Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed primarily in the 4-state area of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee
