Fong Ilagan LLP is seeking a FT/PT highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager/Human Resources Manager to join our team. The Office/Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and administrative duties. This position will also perform some bookkeeping responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in bookkeeping and human resources and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain efficient office systems and procedures.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
- Oversee employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and take appropriate action to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements
- Coordinate training programs for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Manage the performance evaluation process and provide guidance to managers on performance management strategies
-Oversee office supplies and equipment, ordering and maintaining inventory.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Assist with invoicing, bookkeeping & payroll.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in human resources
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR and Office Management
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
_ Knowledge in Immigration/Law Office is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
