Job Description:
Iowa State University is currently seeking applicants for an Office Research Administrator, which will be classified as a Research Administrator I. This position will provide research administrative support to the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center at the Institute for Transportation.
The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CP Tech Center) is a national hub for concrete pavement research and technology transfer at the intersection of public agencies, industry, and academia. The CP Tech Center was founded in 2000 and via research and tech transfer has been instrumental in advancing strategic improvements in how concrete pavements are specified, built, and maintained. The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center is looking for a front office team member to participate with an active team involved with research and technology transfer. This individual will help plan and promote workshops and conferences as well as participate with researchers in tracking multi-million-dollar research agreements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinate hotel/meeting arrangements for workshops and conferences
Budget development for workshops
Coordinate travel for meeting participants and staff
Maintain the CP Tech Center’s website
Assist with sponsored funding development through evaluation and communication of funding opportunities, preparation of data for proposals, etc.
Assists with post-award project and financial administration through preparation of financial reports, monitoring budgets, and reconciling accounts
Maintain the registration sites for workshops
Create brochures for events
This is a one year, fixed term position with the opportunity for renewal.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
